Venue on the EPFL campus

The conference will take place in auditorium BCH 2201, in the building Batochime, on EPFL campus.  This auditorium has a capacity of up to 240 attendees.

The poster session will take place in CECAM-HQ, room BCH 2103, in the same building.

Poster submission

Kindly note that poster presentation is only available for on-site participants.

If you are interested in applying to be considered for a poster presentation, please submit your abstract here (login with your CECAM credential is necessary). The deadline for the submission of your poster abstract is July 1, 2024. It is not necessary at this stage to submit the poster image as well.

The preferred format for the poster is A1 or A0 vertical (A0 horizontal is not supported).

If selected to present, please bring your printed poster with you. If you are unable to do so, printing is available on campus, upon request (and with a fee). Please contactcecam55@cecam.org to receive instructions.

Visa Information

If you require a visa to travel to Switzerland (conditions available here), we can provide you with an invitation letter. Note that obtaining a visa can take up to two months. Please send to visa.cecam@epfl.ch the following information to prepare the invitation (kindly note it can take up to 3 business days to prepare the letter).

  1. Full first Name and Surname (as written in the passport)
  2. Title (Mr Mrs Ms Dr Prof or other)
  3. Date of birth dd/mm/year Town and Country of birth
  4. Passport Nr. (Country of passport if different from birth)
  5. Full name and address of your affiliation

In case your visa application is unsuccessful, inform us immediately and we will refund the participation fee, even outside the cancellation window.

Travel to Lausanne

The closest airport to the meeting location is Geneva/Cointrin International Airport (GVA).

From GVA to Lausanne

Lausanne is 60km away from the airport. The Geneva Airport train station has direct access to the airport check-in and arrival levels. There are approx. 4 direct trains per hour and a single fare is about 29CHF.

Lausanne train station to the meeting location

When exiting the train station from the main hall, cross the road to reach the M2 metro station. Take the metro M2 towards “Croisettes” and then exit at “Lausanne Flon” (1 stop). Use the stairs to go 1 floor up to take the metro M1 towards ‘Renens CFF’ and exit at stop ‘UNIL-Sorge (8 stops).

Hotels

CECAM has room blocks reserved in 3 hotels in Lausanne center and close to EPFL campus. The following conditions apply:

  1. Reservations are made and guaranteed by the participants directly with the hotels. Please use the direct booking link (Zleep) or mention CECAM55 in your email reservation (other hotels).
  2. Reservations are on a first come first serve basis.
  3. Rooms are blocked until August 5th. Passed that deadline, availability is not guaranteed
  4. CECAM does not have any deal with any travel agent or organization. CECAM is not responsible for hotels or rates offered by travel agents or other organizations who pretend to act on behalf of CECAM.
